We all have been on amazing adventures in our lives. Wonderful memories are created and we reflect on them from time to time. Some of the best adventures come during those times when we we do not know the best direction but need to keep moving forward.

Have you ever been in a situation in which you were physically lost? I have, and it was during a time when cell phones did not come with Google maps. The situation became an adventure as we made decisions of which direction to go. We eventually found our way out of the mountains and to safety.

We make future plans and goals, but what a crazy ride it becomes when a monkey wrench is thrown into those plans and goals. Life is an adventure we all get to traverse. However, we know that God, who created the Universe, has a plan for us. Jeremiah 29:11 states it this way; “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

This year at Beacon Camp we will go on a Great Adventure, exploring, learning, growing in relationships, and increasing our faith in Jesus Christ.
